Let’s celebrate the start of a new month!

Uncategorized

The start of a new month is an opportunity to review and celebrate what was achieved last month and to look forward to new possibilities and goals to be accomplished in the upcoming month.

July was a particularly busy month for me and getting to the end of it in one piece was a bit of an achievement.  My time management skills were tested to the limit and at times it was hard to stay super organised whilst juggling conflicting deadlines and priorities.  Being a business owner, mother, wife, housekeeper and occasional nurse to a sick family (including trips to the vet with a sick cat) can be exhausting.  But I’m glad to report I made it and even had time out for some fun along the way, including watching fantastic badminton action at the 2009 Yonex Australian Open.  I’m looking forward to the opportunity of doing more PR for the event in 2010.

I’ve digressed here, but that’s because I am passionate about sport and love being involved.  I am also passionate about keeping fit and one of the projects I’ll be working on in August is some marketing for my local gym.  They’re looking for a new website and an overhaul of current marketing collateral so that will be a fun project.

Other tasks I’ve set myself for August include:

  • a review of the Purple Chameleon website.  It’s been live for 5 months now and could do with some tlc.
  • invite subscribers to Purple Chameleon news (and get content written for the first issue).  Have you subscribed yet?  You can do this on the homepage.
  • attend at least one network event to “spread the word” about my services
  • start an online article marketing course.  I’m hoping to learn alot from this and will be sure to pass on any tips!

And of course there will be my client’s needs to serve, so August looks set to be yet another busy month.  I hope you have a busy and productive August too!
